The best activities for the whole family

Halloween ball in Mondorf

On Sunday 31 October, from 2pm to 8pm, take your children to the Halloween ball in Mondorf-les-Bains. Make sure they put on their best disguise and off they go!

Open house at Neimënster Abbey

To celebrate Halloween, put on your best costume and head to Neimënster for a weekend of great thrills…

Shows, exhibitions, lectures, concerts, youth programs and artists’ residencies are on the program. “For its open day, Neimënster offers a glimpse of its rich program. Adults will be delighted by a spellbinding musical program on Saturday 30th, but children will not be left out! On Sunday 31, Neimënster has prepared a day of introduction to the art of scaring, which should fascinate many”, the website states.

The traditional “Trauliichtwochen”

The traditional Luxembourg “Trauliichtwochen” (beet week) takes place this year from 23 October to 5 November at the Robbesscheier Tourist Centre.

Based on an ancestral tradition, the beet week consists of a parade through the streets with “Trauliichter”, i.e. lanterns handmade from beetroot and reproducing scary faces. This is how the evil spirits of autumn and winter are chased away so that everyone can get through the bad season and arrive in good health in spring.

Halloween party at “Ozone

This Sunday the trampoline and obstacle park “Ozone” is organising a special Halloween party. There are still a few places to jump and a few tables to enjoy the special buffet, at a price of 35 euros. Admission is 9 euros for children and free for adults. A free go-kart token will be given to every child dressed up.

Halloween party at “Zigzag”

The indoor playground ” Zigzag ” in Bertrange is organising a special Halloween evening this Friday evening. Exceptionally, the park will be open after 7 pm. There will be a three-course buffet and other nice surprises.

Halloween at the Philharmonie

The Philharmonie de Luxembourg is offering a game of investigation to make 9-13 year olds shiver. This is what the Philharmonie is proposing: “A journey to a village, a small village far away and difficult to reach. Everything seems peaceful, but on a full moon night, terrible things happen. The village is surrounded by dark, mysterious forests, populated everywhere by dangerous creatures. As a villager, your mission is to solve the mysteries and defeat the dangers. To do this, you will have to get to know the secret as closely as possible with your mayor. But be careful, you’ll have to think twice before trusting anyone, because not everyone is as harmless as they seem… ”

A fun night walk through Larochette

The animation team of the Larochette Youth Hostel is organising a fun walk on Sunday, 31 October 2021 at dusk with pumpkin carving, Halloween lantern making and Luxembourg legends around the Larochette castle. Families with children are also welcome on this guided tour of about 4 km, which ends with a night snack shared around the campfire.

The best adult activities

Rives de Clausen

This is for those who like to party: the Rives de Clausen in Luxembourg City will be hosting “Dia de los Muertos”. Bars and restaurants will exceptionally open their doors at 5pm. Considered one of the biggest Halloween parties in the country, it will be subject to the CovidCheck regime.

Horror movies

Kinepolis Belval and Kinepolis Kirchberg are organising a ‘horror marathon’. The programme includes three American films released this year: Halloween Kills, Last Night in Soho and Antlers. The event starts at 6.30 pm.

Party all night

The M Club is organising a special ‘Halloween’ evening. Entitled “Project M: Malloween

T’Chiz de Belval is offering two evenings under the name “T’Chiz Game”. On Saturday and Sunday, dance to the theme of the new hit series “Squid Game”. The most beautiful costume will win a bottle of champagne.
